The Challenge
Public Education Advocates of Lancaster County (PEAL) is a non-partisan, grassroots organization dedicated to advocating for high-quality, well funded public education for all students in Lancaster, PA.
In order to grow their organization and impact, PEAL wanted to update their brand identity and build a web-based platform to share county-wide news and resources — providing a gateway to support public education at the local and state level.
I began this process by running a series of creative workshops with PEAL leadership. This process helped to define the direction of the visual language at the center of the rebrand.
The final results of our brand ideation work ended with a complete rebrand.
The final logo, new typography definitions, and color palette will be applied across the web design portion of the project, and enable PEAL to have a consistent visual language across the rest of their marketing materials and community outreach.
In tandem with the rebrand, I worked with the PEAL team to define the objectives and requirements for their new website. It was important to ensure the information architecture and technology platform would both meet their current needs and remain adaptable to their long-term growth goals.
By outlining MVP, post-MVP, and end-state requirements, I identified a technical solution that not only addresses immediate challenges but also provides a scalable foundation for the organization's future.
